I could easily forgive his pride, if he had not mortified mine.
I was rereading Pride and Prejudice, trying to calm my nerves. I was flicking with the flashlight, aggravated with it's vague light. I shook it, until it finally died down. "Darn it." The book made a small thud sound when it hit the floor, and I ran my hands in the carpet, trying to retrieve it. "Where are the batteries when you need them?" I found my bedside table, opening the drawer for spare batteries. "I'll check downstairs." I crawled to the door, heading for the stairs.

Evergreen Chapter 1Chapter 1 "Good night, Kali." My father said, while switching off the fluorescent lamp on my bedside table. I was definitely not exhausted yet, despite the fact of the 2 hour flight from my home town. We finally moved to their dream house. I sighed, opening the pages of my story book, feeling the texture of the paper, although I was deep in thought. I stood up, removing the blankets that wrapped around my body and headed for the window. I opened the curtains gently, eyeing our back yard. | Tell something about myself? Well, let me tell you this, i`m no good with writing "About me" stuff.  But hey, let`s give it a try, shall we? I`m Kat. I live in one of the 7,107 islands in the Philippines. I`m at the young age of 13 years, although I act like a 4-year-old most of the time. My past times are using the internet, (usually posting at forums) making graphics in Photoshop, writing short stories, drawing and photography. I consider myself different, weird, unusual, the blah.
